AYV Digital Rainbow Project Sri Lanka (day 2)

A good teacher, like a good entertainer first must hold his audience's attention, then he can teach his lesson. And A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit. So teaching is a great thing for a social change......

Journey to Singapore

Everybody  loved to been to Singapore, at least once, once in a blue moon! So I too got a chance to visit that flamboyant country.
Not out from my own pocket but through our SHILPA SAYURA foundation.
So I flew with a bag full of clothes...no full of hopes ...dreams to see beautiful places, meet various people and also to do bit of shopping. I needed the most to know about Singaporiens' society, culture and their lifestyle too..Actually this was my first flight travel! So naive! excited and nervous!  in short awesome!

Finally we landed to Singapore!
I was amazed at their technological  development and it's great extravaganza!

We were taken to where we were supposed to spare during our visit, after a shower and a rest, a thought made me overwhelmed! The train journey was fun!
the people I met on the way, ...no the trouble underwent to get tickets!
the things passed by.......
It's true that later got used to though, but something.........something else unusual!
Unlike in Sri Lanka, the people were so much reserved. They were either engaged with their mobiles or tabs or some other electronic gadgets. Hardly noticed someone with smile drawn face!   I smiled! Smiled with a few.  But I think they were too busy to notice me!
Some standing, some sitting... But in their own worlds! We had no even a tiny place there even as tourists! I felt sick....no! no! home sick. Amidst a crowd I felt lonely!
I felt that they are more friendly with those gadgets than people.  I beg your pardon! To be called them gadgets!. But I couldnt; give a better name for them in singapore than that. At most of the small
small places, we did shopping,  sellers too were busy with them. I mean with gadget selling.
But thank god! The children! They smiled. Laughed too to our hearts' content.
But when they grow up I think that will  fades. I think technology is that much powerful!!!

Whatsoever I did not like that!

I mean that part of technology! That seclusion! That remoteness and isolation the technology has created in humanity! We learnt a lot too.  Like Technological universities, management schools....... etc

They obey rules and respect regulations not just ..just ..like us but very highly! They never dump garbage irresponsibly like us! They love nature and try best to protect .

Though no smile...in common  I so something...... something common between them and us.
.
That was hope!!   Hope that always hoped and wished to be fulfilled!

So why not me?  i to hopefully wished ''that is to keep smiles on people's face intact from technology!!!''.

That is the only visible evidence which shows human friendliness!

Wisdom

I like to think that the man is as nature and has in itself all the qualities of the four basic elements.
The passion, the integrity of the Earth, the lightness of air and water Wisdom.
I like to think that higher predominate in the soul the most magical items: water.
In fact we can experience water acceptance of its flow and adapt to everything that it contains. We can experience the evolution of his passes: how liquid water become hard and impenetrable ice, with the heat back to harmonious flow;
as the steam that rises with lightness in the air inevitably returns to Earth to quench their thirst, the wisest soul can experience the stages of its evolution without ever losing his divine qualities.

Sigiriya (UNESCO World Heritage)

Sigiriya (Lion Rock, Sinhala: සීගිරිය, pronounced see-gee-REE-yah Tamil: சிகிரியா) is located in the central Matale District of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archeaological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa the site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace were abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.
Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka

Frescoes - Sigiriya Paintings

Apsara Paintings

John Still in 1907 suggested, "The whole face of the hill appears to have been a gigantic picture gallery... the largest picture in the world perhaps". The paintings would have covered most of the western face of the rock, an area 140 metres long and 40 metres high. There are references in the graffiti to 500 ladies in these paintings. However, most have been lost forever. More frescoes, different from those on the rock face, can be seen elsewhere, for example on the ceiling of the location called the "Cobra Hood Cave".
Although the frescoes are classified as in the Anuradhapura period, the painting style is considered unique; the line and style of application of the paintings differing from Anuradhapura paintings. The lines are painted in a form which enhances the sense of volume of the figures. The paint has been applied in sweeping strokes, using more pressure on one side, giving the effect of a deeper colour tone towards the edge. Other paintings of the Anuradhapura period contain similar approaches to painting, but do not have the sketchy lines of the Sigiriya style, having a distinct artists' boundary line. The true identity of the ladies in these paintings still have not been confirmed. There are various ideas about their identity. Some believe that they are the wives of the king while some think that they are women taking part in religious observances. These pictures have a close resemblance to some of the paintings seen in the Ajanta caves in India
